Go for #2. It is a fantastic dress -- I like the shoulder much better and the fabric is less 'bridal'. One question, though, is there sheen to that fabric? If so, the criss-cross front may look rumpled after the ceremony. Think about how each will wear as the day goes on. (Also, whether 'the girls' are going to be comfy long-term...)
Colors? Is there a color that might look nice with your daughter's teal without making it look like you want to be in the bridal party? Personally, I liked the shade called TerraCotta, but I don't know your coloring... I would only go for black if the wedding is in the evening.
BTW -- it is super-cool that you're son is getting married! Congrats, Mom! :) Best wishes to all!
